First Thursdays

 I didn't get a chance to leave my stall but I heard there was lots happening on K Road, including a man running around in a skeleton suit with glow in the dark bones!  Such a lovely, busy night.  Thanks, Annie for organising the market!

My Creative Space: calico and blue

 I've been loving the combination of blue and calico lately, so I thought I'd have a change from my usual black on white, or white on black feathers and print up some blue ones.  Which leaves my lounge looking like I've just plucked a giant macaw!

 I'm going to turn the feathers into brooches and patches and hopefully bring them along to the next First Thursdays Market.  2 May, 6pm, St. Kevin's Arcade.  Might see you there?

First Thursdays

 If you go across the road...

 Past all the bikes...

 ...and the colourful vintage shops...

...or past the lovely-smelling beeswax sculpture if you're coming from the other direction...

...you'll find my stall at First Thursdays.

There it is!

And what a lovely market it was.  Next up on the market calendar is Craft Country Wairarapa (and hopefully a lengthy visit to the wonderful op shops of Putaruru on the way).  Looking forward to it!

First Thursdays next Thursday

I'm going to be stallholdin' at the First Thursdays market next Thursday (6th Dec) from 6-9pm in lovely St. Kevin's Arcade.  I did the August First Thursdays and it was a lot of fun, there's something lovely about markets at night. The photos are unrelated but I love this little outside lounge in Newmarket, it looks like a good place to sit and watch the world go by. 

 

First Thursdays

 Last Thursday night was my first ever First Thursdays market - K Road was festooned with red balloons, there was a zine fest and lots of lovely people came in out of the rain to peruse the market.

I didn't get a chance to check out the zine fest in St. Kevin's Arcade, but at the end of the night I swapped some zines with a lovely lass from Rickitinic Productions, a fellow lover of rickety houses.  It was lots of fun doing a night market on K Road again, it's been a while!
