Rabbiting on

I just made this bunny pencil case for a rabbit-loving friend; happy birthday Angeline!
It's lined with a soft greyish wool left over from making these monkeys.
Oh and I've finally joined the world of Instagram; I'm millicentcrow if you'd like to follow along....

My creative space: huia pouch

The other night I sewed up my first pouch from my huia printed fabric and, after fixing an upside-down huia accident, here it is!
This one's got a spotty dotty lining and some of the others are going to have red and white starry linings.

And there are plenty more to make!
I'll be bringing some of these to the Auckland Art and Craft Fair and Kraftbomb, I'd better get back to the sewing machine!

Happy Thursday to you!

My creative space: a spring pouch

It was nice and springy outside today so I decided to make myself a little floral pouch.  The fabric is a reincarnated (and well washed) tea towel from the op shop:
And I added a little owl patch too, after discovering a whole lot of these that I had made and forgotten about.
I've got quite a stash of old tea towels so I might have to make some more of these.

How about you, what have you been making?
