Hand-lettered
I do love a hand-lettered sign and here are some I've found around and about lately:
Luckily for my overflowing house the op shop in Matakana with this beautiful sign wasn't open!

Sign language
Travelling through the central North Island the other day we collected a whole lot of photos of lovely signs.
Some were old and peeling:Some were handpainted:

Signs of the times
I am glad that I don't have enough space for my street sign collection to be more than photographic, otherwise I'd be stumbling over signs as well as vintage blankets in my rather small house. But look at that sign painting! There's a great sign with gold leaf that I see every day from the train - I must be quick sometime and snap a photo of it, too.
