His master's voice

Here's what I've been doing with these pictures I drew of Scott and Shackleton - they're images for a show that Mr. Millicent Crow is doing about the great age of Antarctic exploration.  It was a bit of a challenge drawing a gramophone!

Explorers

I've been drawing some Antarctic explorers this weekend for a project I'm working on with Mr. Millicent Crow.  Here are Shackleton and Scott:

Spring afternoon

Today I've been:
Enjoying my washing drying in the sun, especially this little barkcloth napkin that is going to become a pouch.
Rescuing a lovely purple flower that had been discarded at the train station.
Wishing my camera hadn't developed a weird dark spot in most photos.  I've tried cleaning the lens, to no avail - I think some of the covering is coming off the inside.
Admiring the murals that are springing up on the walls around So Ho(le) square.

And drawing portraits of explorers and walking for an hour and a half to get coffee and making plans to go to Waihi and hire a tandem bicycle...

New prints on Felt

I picked up my new digital bird prints from the printers last week and here they are in the flesh:

And framed...

They're on my Felt shop now here and here.

My creative space: a spring pouch

It was nice and springy outside today so I decided to make myself a little floral pouch.  The fabric is a reincarnated (and well washed) tea towel from the op shop:
And I added a little owl patch too, after discovering a whole lot of these that I had made and forgotten about.
I've got quite a stash of old tea towels so I might have to make some more of these.

How about you, what have you been making?

Joining in with "My creative space" over here.

Happy Thursday!
