My creative space: dotty

I've just made this fabric, that I screen printed the other day, into this spotty dotty canvas tote bag.

It kiiiind of goes with my weird spotty dotty trousers.  I bought these on a whim from the op shop the other day in my frustration at finding trousers that fit/are comfy.  I had high hopes for altering them somehow...they're a weird 3/4 length, baggy like pyjamas and kind of high-waisted.  I've got a feeling though, that they might end up being reincarnated as zippered purses rather than a garment...I might just keep on wearing skirts all the time.
And I just bought one of these.  It's wonderful, even if I am terrified of its sharpness.

My creative space

I was gifted a wonderful dress a while back, it's the perfect shade of green and I love it to bits and pieces. Unfortunately, though, it doesn't fit me quite right. So I decided to do a little watercolour portrait of it, and hopefully one day I'll come up with a way to alter it to fit me.

While I've got the green paint out, I might paint a portrait of my two green gravy boats, too!

Green means go

I've spent the week sewing this green dress from my old faithful pattern...

It matches my green jandals perfectly!
And this green chair.

And now I'm off to Wellington to wear it to a wedding! Happy weekend to you!

A quick project

I made this brooch while I was on the phone the other night, trying to multitask! It was really easy; you need a fake flower (I got mine from good ol' Spotlight), a brooch back and some cotton. Sew the brooch back to the flower and Bob's your uncle!

Some things I'd like to make

I wish I was better at colouring things in photoshop.

Simplicity 2497

I finally finished this dress. And when I say finished, I mean I left out the ruffle, left out one of the pockets because I couldn't figure out how it could exist alongside the invisible zip (which is by no means invisible) and did a pretty slapdash job of the hem. And I think it's going straight to the op shop. Half of it is way too big and it looks a bit too Robin Hood for my liking. Never mind, it's a step up from the last green dress I tried to make.

Green woollies

I got home early today and it was sunny, so I thought I'd do a little photoshoot with some of the things I have been knitting and crocheting. Looking at them all together it seems there's something of a theme...
